The its4women thrill seeking team took the plunge for charity. This event saw 5 of the its4women team throw caution to the wind and abseil 100ft down the spectacular Belfast Castle on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

The adrenaline pumping abseil was certainly one to remember with incredible views across Belfast city whilst raising vital funds for Action Cancer’s breast screening service. In, 2019 we officially launched the Breast Friends fundraising campaign in partnership with Action Cancer, with a pledge to match all the money raised by the people of Northern Ireland.

Why did we choose Action Cancer?

Our business is all about protecting people and it starts with the people we serve.  Action Cancer is the only charity in the UK and Ireland to offer free breast screening to asymptomatic women aged 40 – 49 and over 70, those who fall outside the NHS screening age range (50 – 70). 

Action Cancer is a local charity meaning all the money raised is put to good use only within Northern Ireland.

Our shared goal is to raise £180,000

We have promised to match every pound raised by the public over the next 3 years. By pledging to match the money raised this money will enable Action Cancer to double the number of free breast screening appointments  and provide peace of mind to thousands of women.
