We are delighted to announce that its4women’s telematic technology otherwise known as ‘Black Box’ car insurance has dramatically reduced driving risk factors amongst our young drivers.
Since the the introduction of telematic technology, we have accumulated over 285 million miles worth of data on Irish roads and monitored the driving behaviour of over 50,000 policy holders.

Safer driving
Since the introduction of our ‘Weekly Driving Summary’ notifications we have noticed a dramatic decrease of 92.5% in excess braking alerts and 94% decrease in excess acceleration alerts. We believe these encouraging statistics have been generated because our young drivers are more aware of their driving habits.
Collectively, the excess braking and acceleration figures have reduced its4women’s young drivers accident frequency rate by a staggering 68.2%. Bodily injury claims have also subsequentially fallen by 58% since 2013, resulting in a large reduction of serious injuries including fatalities.

Its4women uses the above real time data and monitors factors such as driving within the speed limit and avoiding risky manoeuvres such as harsh acceleration, braking and swerving. We use this data to reward safe young drivers aged 25 or under with healthy discounts.
